Euclid Public Library Board of Trustees swore in its new Board President, Carmen Epps, at its first Regular Board Meeting on January 18, 2022. This is Epps' first term as Board President since her Board appointment in June 2016 after serving as the Euclid Public Library Foundation Treasurer.
"It's been a pleasure to work with Ms. Epps as a member of the Board of Trustees for six years," said Euclid Public Library Director Kacie Armstrong. "Throughout my tenure, Ms. Epps has demonstrated her steadfast commitment to the City of Euclid and our team, and I know she'll continue to support the community as we begin to reimagine the future of the library."
Epps currently works for United Wholesale Mortgage, where she manages Internal SOX Financial and Operational Audits and served as Vice President of the Euclid Hunger Center Board of Trustees. She has extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local compliance regulations and banking and insurance industry expertise and experience. Epps replaces previous Board President David Carlson, who completed his final term as President but will continue to serve as a member of the Board.
Additionally, at the January 18 meeting, the Board approved to combine the Board of Trustees Committee and Regular Board Meetings on the third Tuesday of each month, eliminating the first Tuesday meeting at the library. Beginning Tuesday, February 15, 2022, the Board of Trustees will convene for its Committee Meeting beginning at 6:00 PM, and the Regular Board Meeting will immediately follow.
